When we have a client who needs help with communications, positive psychology applications in the workplace, or a recommitment to their purpose as an organization, we collaborate with Carin.  Carin is a corporate productivity consultant, coach, and motivational speaker. She merges communications and positive psychology to help people thrive and organizations succeed.

Carin hails from Detroit, Michigan and now splits her time between New York and Philadelphia with her pup Henry. She is a runner who enjoys writing, painting, and exotic travel.  Carin truly believes she has found her purpose helping others to live their dreams through her work.

Carin was Vice President, Marketing and Communications for Team Northeast Ohio for four years. She led all aspects of Greater Cleveland’s marketing efforts to attract new businesses/jobs, resulting in met or exceeded metrics annually with limited budget. Programs improved regional brand perception among target audiences by more than 100%, increased lead generation and inquiries by 300% and increased media placements by 300%.  She also led organizational marketing communications strategy that improved brand awareness and perception by 500%, increased community engagement ten-fold, local press coverage by 300% with strategic events, custom publications, media relations, video, social media, and speaking engagements. She served as organization spokesperson and regional motivational speaker, with more than 70 speaking engagements, 15 television appearances and nearly 100 articles placed.

Previously Carin had communications management roles and account management roles for Alcoa Wheel Products, Helm Incorporated, Omnicon, and Entertainment Publications.  For Alcoa, she re-aligned public relations to increase community awareness and increase employee engagement, orchestrated strategy that earned mayoral and gubernatorial recognition, engaged employees, and achieved 200% increase in media impressions. She also designed an employee communications strategy that helped her business unit reach metrics within 6 months. Overall employee satisfaction improved by 50%; communication by 80%. Participation in events/activities increased 300%.  She also developed a marketing communications campaign for new and existing products that included advertising, point-of-purchase, trade show presence, direct marketing and e-marketing.

Education

Carin earned a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA degree in Communications and English Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She has had continuing business education in Leadership Development, Accounting, and Business Statistics from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
